Customs
The Customs General Directorate is an agency part of the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP). This agency enforces the legislation related to the import and export of goods and controls goods that enter or exit the Customs territory.
Its main function is to assess, classify, verify and control the entrance and exit of goods and the means of transportation to guarantee the performance of the current Customs rules and regulations.
In addition, the Customs Administration protects the interests of the State, as for example the national security, the economy, the public health and the environment, prohibiting the entrance of dangerous or illegal goods. And it also encourages the voluntary performance by the users.
The main strategies of the Customs Administration are the facilitation and strengthening of the foreign trade and the timely verification through the systematization and update of the system.
